Notgenius’ Star Strife is a singer, songwriter and produseur. In her music you can hear influences of her love of hip hop music, classic literature and anime as well the lingering dread from her chronic night terrors.
Star’s first album, Blue Spirit, was created in a lonely, horribly ventilated and even more horribly soundproofed rehearsal studio in Portland, OR and fueled entirely by the local brewery next door.
Star’s moniker is indeed a reference to her favourite character in her favourite video game, Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Star formed the ever-growing collective Notgenius with her best friends/ collaborators, TYMN and Dantexyz and does all things with the collective in mind. There is no Star Strife without Notgenius.
